Here is a step-by-step guide on how to address water damage and get your space restored:

- Extract standing water, run industrial fans, and set up dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry the area.
- This can be done by you as the homeowner, or by contacting a certified water remediation company.
- This step should happen as soon as possible—ideally within 24–48 hours—to minimize long-term damage.
2. Review Insurance Coverage
- Contact your homeowner’s insurance provider to report the damage and determine coverage for both remediation and restoration work.
- Keep documentation, photos, and receipts from every step for your claim.
3. Complete Demolition of Damaged Materials
- Once the space is dry, the next step is to remove any damaged furniture, drywall, flooring, insulation, trim, doors, cabinets, etc.
- This prevents trapped moisture from causing future mold or structural issues.

Absolutely amazing!! My project manager was Jason and he was the absolute best to work with. All the crews that came were super friendly and did amazing work! We contracted with Property ReVision to finish our basement, adding a large rec-room, kitchen, full bath, bedroom with egress window, and play room for the grandkids. From our initial meetings and estimate with Kessler, to our design meetings with Amber and Sienna, to the construction phase with project manager Todd, our entire experience was outstanding. All of the Property ReVision employees and subs were pleasant and highly skilled. The design and workmanship are top level. They came in on budget and on time. We were so fully satisfied that we have contracted with Property ReVision to give our main floor a refresh next year.

I can’t recommend working with Property Revisions more. They did our initial basement Reno 5 years ago and then we flooded and they redid it this past month. They have grown so much in 5 years and I’m so impressed that their communication, worth ethic, and craftsmanship have stayed at the same high standard. Erik was incredible to work with as he managed our project and talked us through different options and project next steps the entire time. Every contractor that came was incredibly helpful, communicative, and held themselves at a high standard of work. Our 30-year-old home in Brookfield was in good shape but needed some serious help. The kitchen and bathrooms were worn and outdated, and we had a large unfinished room collecting spider webs. It is always a bit scary to embark on a remodeling project, but from our first meeting with Property ReVision salesman, Kessler, we knew we were in good hands. Next, Amber from the design team helped us choose products and styles that fit our house and taste. Then, project manager Shawn managed absolutely everything for us. The Bertolli clan can't say enough wonderful things about our team at Property Revision! Chari, Shawn and Eric thank you for being so easy to work with and trust through the process of reimagining our basement. We had a vision and theme for what we wanted to do with the small space we had (900 sq ft ish) and it came to life. Modern style, accommodating, hassle free when it came to permits/village paperwork, great listeners and just down to earth cool crew! If we asked for ANYTHING, it was addressed immediately. Sink delivered broken, replaced asap! We have received so many compliments about the design, layout and quality of work. At our closing meeting, the team asked what our favorite item was of the basement and honestly it was too hard to pick one. We enjoy the space so much! Even the sub-contractors were great! The plumbers, painter, electricians, Hugo, we can go on and on. LOVE the cabinetry. Words cannot adequately describe the quality of the work done by this company. Shawn and his crew are exceptional. We hired them to do an entire office remodel. From start to finish, their work was 10/10. The attention to detail was off the charts - I have had clients come into my building who are carpenters who have pointed out and admired the finish carpentry work. The other thing about the company is that ALL of their subcontractors are good people too. Truly everyone connected with this organization is professional, prompt and goes above and beyond. Property Revision recently renovated our basement (approximate 1300 sq ft), giving us a full bath, media area, recreation area, wet bar, dedicated gym and large storage area. From our very first interaction with Kessler (who gave a spot-on estimate) and the design team of Chari and Amber we knew that we would be in good hands. Chari and Amber easily grasped our basement vision and helped to make it a reality. Once construction was underway several unexpected snags were dealt with reasonably and quickly. Our project manager, Shawn, was outstanding. He was easy to get ahold of and always seemed happy to answer any questions or concerns we had. The framers, drywallers, plumbers, electrician and finish carpenters were all knowledgeable, friendly and reliable.

We did a complete basement remodel. This company was amazing!!!! They hold your hand from the start helping you design your basement and pick finishes. They move quickly and do outstanding work. We have friends who chose different companies and our basement looks so much better than theirs and the price was basically the same.
